How do I prepare it?

Chop and pasteurize straw, drain, cool, and mix with supplements before bagging.

  1. Cut straw into 3–5 cm pieces to increase surface area.
  2. Submerge straw in 70–75°C water for 60 minutes to pasteurize.
  3. Drain the straw thoroughly and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  4. Mix in gypsum and molasses evenly.
  5. Press the substrate into poly bags tightly to eliminate voids.
  6. Inoculate with oyster grain spawn at 10–15%.
  7. Incubate bags at 22–24°C for 10–14 days until colonized.
